My car still had swirl marks and the paint went rough after a while.

Needless to say when I bought my 2007 FPV GT and 2009 370Z, I didnt waste my money.

Rather I spent $250 on Bowdens car cleaning products and waxed the car myself.

Just my view....

I'm with Ed, just sub Meguire's for Bowdens. The rest is overhype, imho.

It really depends on what the customer wants. Waxes give a nice warm glow and look very glossy and wet, sealants generally protect better with a more candy like appearance. Victoria wax is second to none regardless of price. Optimum car wax, which is actually a sealant, is very nice and easy to apply. Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant is a very nice sealant with good protection. Auto Glym Extra gloss protection is top notch as well. There are others as well, these are just some of the LSP's (last step products) I use. All of these products I have mentioned are ment to be put on a perfectly polished surface, as they do not have abrasives or fillers in them.

Guy knows what he speaks. Wolfgang products are outstanding.

I just bought the British made and US imported AUTO GLYM kit last night at Pep Boys for a lttle under $100. I have to say when I bought it I was very skeptical. But after following the directions and putting in 7 thorough hours I have to say I am totally floored and sold on this product.

The deep lustre and shine of the exterior is true to their claim about HI-DEF and CONCOURSE quality. And this is on a Pearl White 370Z! As I was doing the polish step I couldn't believe how the white was getting very stark whiter and brighter as the polish was being rubbed in.

Also I have never ever witnessed an interior cleaning agent in all my the 13 years of car show involvement that could transform an interior to look better than brand new after a year's worth of use. I showed it to my neighbor who is a car show fanantic and he was just as floored by this product as I was.

When I applied the interior product to the interior Persimmon Leather seats a beautiful deep and rich darker orange leather color appeared and the few leather wrinkles that were there before simply just disappeared. The leather surface actually had a much smoother feel to it.

The AUTO GLYM kit contained the following parducts:

Body Works Shampoo & Conditioner
Vinyl and Rubber Care
Super Resin Polish
HI-DEF Wax
Rapid Detailer Spray

I truly say that all the other products I had my faith in before (Mothers, Meguiars, Zaino, Zymol, and the rest) all are cheap trash hype and really do suck when compared to the AUTO GLYM product results.

AUTO GLYM =

Mothers, Meguiars, Zaino, Zymol, and the rest = :gtfo2:

I've zaino-ed mine... I think it looks great and it's great in repelling water and dirt...

Can't tell you about durability yet...

I've spend a full weekend putting on plenty of layers, but maintaining it should be pretty easy. It goes on and off really easy.

Finally it looks expensive on initial purchase, but if you see how many layers I did and how little I used.
It's probably cheaper then anything else you can buy...

I'm glad you like it. I've used it for years with great results.

How come we don't hear more about AUTO GLYM over here across the pond? For as long as the product has been around one would think someone here would have picked up on it and be aggressively marketing it here.

What really was interesting to me about the HIDEF wax product of the kit is how little wax is required to be used in order to get such a brilliant refection. When I first opened the box ans saw the small size of the HIDEF wax I thought to myself that I'm not going to get many waxings out of this. But when I was done doing the Z the wax in the can looked like I hadn't even used any!!

I can't say enough about the impressive results of every single product in the kit. There just isn't anything on the mainstream market that compares with these GLYM products.

:bowrofl:

There are a few waxes like this one which have been out for quite a while, so it's not surprising AG now has one. I haven't used it but others on Autopia (detailing site) have and liked it. You can buy it at wall mart now as well.

I'll have to check what selection of AUTO GLYM products WwalMart has. Thanks for the info on that one.

Pep Boys didn't have the entire product line but they did have the core products I needed (cleaners, sealers, wax and detail touchup). I went back to Pep Boys this morning and bought up all their remaining stock they had available.

I also talked to the buyer there and he said he will allow me to order just single bottles of whatever AUTO GLYM products I wish to have even if they aren't part of his regular inventory.
