without any disrespect, that sunroof looks like absolute ****..... and there is a reason why Nissan doesnt offer it as an option.

i recently got a Hollandia Sunroof installed in my FPV GT.

The installer who had 30 year experience said to not bother as it would be too hard and look like crap.

I can see why? On our roof, there is a dip - it would be impossible to make it look right.

My sunroof glass goes into the car and doesnt stick out like that 1990's way...

I noticed the owner didnt want comments as the truth hurts!

Sorry but my 2c worth...

I think you may be confused. His sunroof glass doesn't "stick out like that 1990's way", it sticks out like that small roof way which is mandatory on any small car. Your car is notably bigger and therefore has room for the glass to tuck in. Also, if your installer tells you something is too hard get a new installer.

As to weight saving I reckon it depends on if you wanna stay na it go fi. Same dilemma on my hr350. Cost me almost 20k to save like 70kg, but that's almost a persons weight your saving. But on a fi car just crank up the boost or even in scramble boost you be better of spending 20k on weight saving. Just my very costly lesion lol

Plus unless on the track you wouldn't even feel the difference on 60 kg

nevertheless, some cars should get sunroofs and that Z is a classic case of not....

How do you explain the ripple on the roof? Would the installer have bent the frame of the sunroof?

My installer has installed sunroofs for 30 years and I would respect his judgement....

I bloody got 2 tiny chips in my windscreen from the weekend cruise and it's right in my vision :(

I'm thinking about replacing the windscreen as the repairer couldn't make it disappear as it's too shallow.

Feedback?

see, if you kept your old Z, you could have utilised the windscreen :eekdance:

just claim on insurance, you and the company are probably good friends now! :icon18::icon18:

My policy gives me a free windscreen repair or replacement but I'm more concerned about having 'issues' after a windscreen replacement..

Has anyone had a full windscreen replaced before?

My cousin and dad both got full replacements in the last 1.5 years........both after full replaement came back with more air noise, i'd say put up with it ronnie rather than have more issue than small dot.........i have a few, you forget about em after awhile. Think you still just got that new car paranoia.

Well that's definately the evidence I needed to not replace the windscreen. Thanks ben! +1
