Your advice has been noted and it was my thoughts confirmed.

I'm going to email Tony tonight.

HFC's are fine dude.

F.I cats have a 300 cell count. Thats borderline stock. U'll be fine if you stick to cats

I think the 3odd rwkw increase isn't worth my interior noise concern so I'm going to cancel the hfc-pipes.

Also $600+ isn't justifiable for such a small increase..

Berk cats give the biggest gains.

Check with Tony, I dont think you can down grade your order.

P.s , If your worried about cats, why are you getting UD pulleys? wouldnt you rather get light weight stock size pulleys?

Does the if pulley increase the sound???!!!

underdriving your pulleys is known to effect your electronics. Eg dim lights on your dash.

Once again we are talking about a couple of HP in it.

Also you do know spacers are illegal too? ull get raped up the bum if cops notice them in Vic.

If I was you I would do.
- F.I 18res with HFC's
- The new offical K&N short intake.
- Stock size light weight pully. AMS, Stillen do them.

Everything is already done on my car except the pulley and hfc.

The pulley is already delivered to my bongo address, pending consolidation with my cbe.

I appreciate your advice on the spacers but it's something i'll take the risk with...

Any further mods are going to have to wait post tax rebate lol.

Anyways, I plan to only have this car til the next Z comes out. It all depends on how much it rains in 2012.... ;)

Put in stock exhaust yesterday. Now it's like someone hit the mute button in my car.

Going for a test in couple of hours. Let's see what the reading comes out.

evse82 05-13-2010 11:25 PM

Cool let us know dude!!

Waqar 05-14-2010 12:41 AM

Very very bad luck.

Failed the test. 89db at 5250rpm and 95 at backoff with stock exhaust and berk HFCs.

EVL370 05-14-2010 01:19 AM

who tested you?

Impossible, 95db at back off. I'm running stock cats and berk HFC's and thats no where near 90db and the test range should be about 4,500rpm.

evse82 05-14-2010 01:30 AM

agreed 5250 seems a little high. Isn't it a lower percentage on redline? Whats the actual percentage? anyone know? I can't remember what it
was now

Edit: it is right the percentage is 75% of redline

But WTF?? as if the stock echaust didn't pass with the high flow cats.... that's totally retarded. you cant even hear the bloody thing. When are you going for another test?

And one more thing, if this setup has failed the test, then I think most cars off the production line from Holden, BMW and VW will fail the test... Golf r32 and GTI's (definately louder) E2 Clubsports??? 335s M3 Merc AMG c63???????????? BAH!!!!!!!!! it angers me so bloody much. What happens when a C63 gets EPA'd?? There is no way in hell that will pass the test
