That's mates rates price at around 5k.

It's quoted with Nissan staff discount.

Rob46 03-21-2010 09:18 AM

look you guys nothing confusing about it the current roadster has 19s the next shipment of coupes has 19s the coupes already here have 18s.

im not keen on my 19s so Im fitting 20s

if you dont like the 18s there are plenty of after market wheels and tyres well below the 6k nissan rediculous asking price

I wasn't suprised and he said it's the first series of 2010 and the 19" will be the second bla bla bla and you've been waiting for so long bla bla bla and your 370z should be in the show room today or tomorrow, I have been waiting and waiting but no calls. Maybe cos I have been waiting for such a long time my mind is F*@King with me.

I'm on the blink of cancelling my 370z, loose money, reorder and wait for another month or two. I'm confused! Maybe I should have not read all these comments.

Just becasue its made in 2010 doesn't mean its MY 2010.

You guys are right, I finally got it off my chest. The whole week I have been thinking and going through scenarios. So I finally decided to call a few dealers to check when it was coming and negotiated the price so it will cover most of my lost. I then called my dealer, he wasn't at work but he called me back. He was very nice as always. I told him, I want be satisfy with my purchase and at the moment I'm not cos the model I'm getting doesn't comes with 19' as I expected. He agree and said 2010 model should start from Jan - Dec not in the in March. He said to leave it with him. I'm a lot happier now and I'm actually not thinking about it and now I know the 19' is what I want. Will update when I get the call.

Thanks Guys!

Bad and Good News

Bad news, my dealer called me and said the car is already registered under my name and it's ready to be picked up now. No!!....... I was so devastated. I try to reason with him but it looks like there's nothing he can do. During our discussion he mentioned the colour "Titanium". I said "hold on I request for Carbon Silver!". (You see initially I wanted the titanium but because I have never seen it around Perth I was too hesitant to order one, instead I chose CS).

So there was a mix up from another guy that ordered 370z when my dealer was on holidays. Well well well my dealer now knows I have an argument, so it was you said I said blablabla and after a few more bla bla blas he called me back and offered to put the 19’ wheels from the Roadster onto my 370z. He told me to come take a look at the Titanium colour I will like it. Since I haven’t seen that colour I was curious, so I went down and had a look. Wow! It was better then I expected, so nice........ : ) I knew this could turn out bad if I argue my way out and I couldn’t resist this colour. So I told him I’ll take it if he includes street legal tinting, He agrees. Wuhoo! I’m happy I got the 19’ as I wanted, bonus tinting and it is a series one 2010 model, it looks like this is the last Titanium in AUS, I'm fine with that especially not many people in Perth has it.

Sometimes when you push too far it might not end well. I think I made the right choice.

I can’t wait to pick it up now. Thanks Guys I wouldn’t have got the 19’ or the tinting if I didn’t read your messages.

Firstly that's good to hear. Secondly, since we helped you out k3nkyo, you need to repay us, by sourcing some free 19's for us too. Come on mate, share the wealth....

hahaha....I think I can do that but it'll be free to view not to take:icon17:

GTRFAN 03-24-2010 04:04 AM

k3nkyo, good work on getting the 19" as part of the deal!

EVL370 03-24-2010 04:32 PM

In the latest top gear mag it reports april build coupes will have the 19's

370er 03-24-2010 06:51 PM

Damn, i'd trade-in and get a MY2010 if I wasn't going to lose so much on it.

EVL370 03-24-2010 07:56 PM

I honestly think, 09 plated 370z are the best valve pending you can get one under 60k

True but unfortunately it doesn't benefit current 09 owners looking to trade up..

EVL370 03-24-2010 08:35 PM

It's not worth trading up for a set of wheels and a build plate mate.

It all comes down to people who bought the 370z first and are $%$$ off we didn't get the 19's in the first place.

Even if I was a new buyer looking. I would target a 09 build 370z. (pending stock)
Dealerships won't move off RRP for the 2010 built until atleast the end of 2010/ start of 2011.

There will be a flood of 19's on the market at the end of the year. Coupe owners will go after light racing wheels and convertibles will go after bling.

I know what you mean... I just wanna get them 19"s now.

For the price I just picked up my new car, I've got the best of both worlds! :)

I wasn't talking about trading up, I'm thinking of selling and walking away. At the end of the day the Z isn't going to be very fast as is costing me a fair bit. The more I think about it, a newish daily driver and a hardcore GTR make a lot more sense.

Blasphemy!!

Let's put it in perspective.

If there wasn't this 19" issue, you and so many others would still be overjoyed at having a Z.

I know I can't really talk as I've been recently blessed, but I clearly remember the pride, love and confidence you and others had with your Z's before the wheel issue...

Really. How long would it have been before you went the custom wheel path anyways.

Also in a few months they'll definately be 19"s for sale and it'll be cheaper than losing 10-15k on reselling your Z.

Just my $3.70 worth...

GTRFAN 03-25-2010 02:33 AM

Don't shoot me! haha

I'm thinking about freeing cash up for other reasons too like buying more real estate. Just call me Ben!

Maybe I should just wait for the next flood? ;)

evse82 03-25-2010 07:24 AM

I'm thinking of sticky taping pictures of the 19's onto my wheels like that kid did on the Ford Territory commercial. Then I'm gonna drive to Carlos Ghosns house, bitch slap him, crap in his rose bushes and pee on his shoes. Or, dress up as a woman (which I frequently do on Saturday nights) seduce him, make him fall in love with me, make him propose then leave him at the altar with just a photo of the real me next to my 18" shenanigan wheels.

370er 03-25-2010 08:04 AM

It comes in Silver, White, Blue or Yellow. More models here.

Something i noticed on the new Roadster... the knee bolsters are the fake suede material not the vinyl we've got... wonder if the new coupes have them as well...

then i wonder in america if they the suede will match the interior colour...

Shud 03-31-2010 01:45 AM

Hey guys! First post, Woot!

So I've made some initial inquiries on a new Z, and so far I'm looking at $65,000 for a MY10 and window tint, arriving in the country end of April. I have my preferred choice of black from 2 dealers, however, one of the dealers has a quartz coming on the same boat. He called head office to find out some details on the quartz, but could not find out any info on it.

Does anyone know: Is it simply the quartz colour, not the actual 40th anniversary edition car? Regardless of whether its the 40th anniversary car, is it the same paint being used on the European quartz, ie. self-healing paint?

Thanks for any advice offered.

Hi mate. 65k is a great price!

The quartz is the same colour as the 370Z but as far as the Nissan bulletins say, there is no mention of the self heal paint. If I recall, this is only on the latest G37s.

Also it's just the 40th anniversary colour, not the other bits and pieces.

Don't quote me but I think that there is a 40th anniversary quartz black available too as it was a choice on their computer when my paperwork was printed.

Are you in Melbourne? If so which dealer have you been dealing with? I might be able to enlighten you on a few questions that they 'can't' answer for you..

series 2 370z coupe in Australia

Hi Gents,

I have just taken a series 2 370Z coupe for a test drive and I can report that
the only changes I can see are the 19" Rays wheels & tyres to match the new Roadster. The ipod interface is still the 3 RCA inputs & no USB.. Rather disappointing....

This is the official notification from the Nissan Dealership
1. Addition of the lightweight 19” forged aluminium “alloy” wheels as standard fitment
Fitted with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 245/40R19 front and massive 275/35R19 rear tyres.
2. Addition of 2 new colours to the 370Z Coupe palette - Bordeaux and 40th Anniversary Quartz
(replacing Titanium and Chicane Yellow).
3. Addition of the Z logo to the i-Key fob.

Gazza....

I also think the wheel bolts are different!!! Woohoo!

EVL370 04-19-2010 04:16 AM

Is it badged anywhere as a "series 2"

Gazza 04-19-2010 04:32 AM

No, not that I could see...

Gazza 04-19-2010 04:50 AM

The Rays Wheels looked Brilliant though!! Amazing how much better they were up close and real - not in a photo...
