The salesman told me delivery late Feb but I asked the stock control guy at the dealership when I could expect delivery he said "quartz will me mid to late May no others in Aust." so either That one is mine or Im cancelling no way in the world am I waiting til May.
I know WA stands for West Aust or WAIT AWHILE but thats rediculous.

I ordered a 1098s tricolore from ducati in january 07 it arrived in november 07'
no way in the world am I doing that or anything close to that again.
Salesman told me a months wait and 11 months later it arrived , That was a very rare bike and was sold out a nanosecond after being announced so if I pulled the pin there was a wish list for folks waiting to pounce on a cancellation. I doubt that would be the case with this car.

I WANNA NEW TOY AND I WANT IT NOW NOW NOW NOW:mad:

The 2010 Coupe will come with 19" rims as STANDARD, and it will also have a "Z" symbol on the key - big deal re the key.

Other changes for the 2010 Coupe is the deletion of yellow and titanium colours, instead of this the new colours will be quartz and bordeaux.

This is it fellas, at least we have 19" as standard now, and the MSRP is the same $67,990.

Where did you get that info from? The specs clearly list the coupe as having 18" standard.

Nissan Bulletin No: 020/10 - it clearly states 19's as standard fitment, so if anybody tells you differently they are probably trying to sell you a MY09 coupe, that may be made in early 2010.

NissanZ46 02-26-2010 11:06 PM

The proper MY2010's are starting to being built in March only.

:iagree: 19" should be standard.

This is exactly what I have heard from an inside source. March is the official release of the 2010 models, so until then the dealers will be kept in the dark so they continue to sell the 2009 stock. There's no point asking any dealer...just wait and order a car after the announcement.

370er 02-27-2010 01:31 AM

I don't get Nissan. They release the specs then change them. Now if only they did that LAST year with the wheels.

EVL370 02-27-2010 05:32 AM

Wheels only guys!!!! confirmed today.

AH370Z 02-27-2010 02:46 PM

This is ******** and so not fair for us 09 buyers. Is there not anything we can do? Maybe we should all write into Nissan blowing up.

Which Nissan did you want to blow up??

EVL370 02-27-2010 05:48 PM

LOL, well it isn't fair if you ran out and paid full RRP for a 370z when they came out.

Having said that it could be worst.

I got a mate that bought a MY08 WRX.....3 weeks before the 195kw MY09 was about to come out. FAIL

What's not fair about it hehehe, Nissan didn't force you to buy the car with 18's mate.

ellas01 02-28-2010 05:17 AM

Hey Guys

My nissan delear in Perth ordered my 370z (Build 2010) at the end of January this year. (He was unable to do it sooner in Jan as the system would not let him place the order, apparently there was a spec change).

He told me that it would be ready for delivery in April. Does this mean my Z will come with the 19inch wheels?

370er 02-28-2010 06:12 AM

I wouldn't get too excited until that specs sheet gets updated and actually shows the coupe with 19" as standard.

Couldn't the dealer confirm if it will have 19s standard or not? They seem well informed don't they.

Rob46 02-28-2010 08:23 AM

i looked at a new roadster in perth at a dealership today and it had 19;s
I get mine next week woohoo

Rob46 02-28-2010 08:32 AM

no usb connectivity tho

EVL370 02-28-2010 05:16 PM

I spoke to 3 dealerships in the same day.

Ferntree Gully, Camberwell and Werribee

the 2010 model will have 19inch wheels and thats the only change. They all advised it's due in a months time.

370er 02-28-2010 08:55 PM

I'm surprised they still haven't added USB connectivity. Plenty of cars have it standard these days. The tech in this car is generally good but no USB is a letdown. I also don't get why they have dvd sat nav. Surely a flash card or something would be a better option than having a hidden dvd compartment behind the seat.

The JDM spec has the HDD version of the Nav with USB. I really don't understand why we in Aus get a shitty CD based version when our market is the same as Japan. IE Right hand drive. I would have thought Aus would have got the full JDM spec cars in the first place as it would have been cheaper than building a different Aus spec.

ellas01 03-02-2010 12:04 AM

Just confirmed with my dealer this morning that my 2010 will have the 19inch rims.. Whoo...hooo.

Well you clearly are not one that bought the 09 with 18's then. If you were I'm sure you would be annoyed like myself and many others that feel ripped off. Especially when they coming out std, for the same price and within 5 months of buying it.

evse82 03-02-2010 08:00 PM

First off, if they are standard I will be seriously pissed off with Nissan to the point of never buying a new car from them again. The rims were the one thing I wanted when it was first released and looking at these shitty 18's makes me hate the car overall.... (it just ruins the cars overall appearance and performance)

Are we sure they are standard? Because their latest catalogue still shows the roadster as the only one having the 19's, the coupe is still listed with the 18's

370er 03-02-2010 08:56 PM

I agree. What sucks here is that the price remains the same with 19s (if in fact the 19s will actually be standard). But for us with 18s who want 19s what do we have to pay? Over $5,000 is it? Without tires.

It was definitely a dilemma for me at the time of buying - I wanted Yellow and 19" Wheels.

I agree. I used to hold Nissan in quite high regard, but now after this whole 19" wheel debacle and being lied to from the dealers from the start, I feel the brand of "Nissan Australia" has been tained.

They'll update the spec list as soon as the info about the 19" is public.

I am already in the process of demanding a free upgrade and justifying it as a customer relations issue. I was very clear at the dealer in mid 2009 that I wanted the 19" wheels and said I would have waited until 2010 if that's what it took. They insisted the wheels would never come out to Australia due to ADR regulations and to just buy the 2009 car. Six months later and bang....oh sorry about that you 2009 suckers! Fark that.

You know, we do have another option....Today Tonight or one of those "customer gets shafted by the big corporations" tv shows.

Sure, a few of us will upgrade to aftermarket wheels, but it's about the principle of the matter and the lack of honesty and customer service that pisses me off.

gumpy 03-02-2010 11:40 PM

Yeah i'd support an angry letter to nissan asking wtf and threatening today tonight action.

If it was extra for the 19's i def wouldn't have got them but to now come as standard issue... ><

I wise person did once tell me to never by the first gen of any car... should have listened

Though on the brighter side (those who use the car as a DD) we do get better ride compliance, slightly less noise and cheaper reshoeing costs... who am I kidding, I'm pissed off...

Update: thinking about it the 19"s on the new car make sense. Then people can't ask for extra discounts due to the tariff reduction... the government just paid for the larger, prettier shoes... Considering I was fully prepared for the fact that the price may drop due to the tariff reduction, I'm now at peace with Nissan's decision to hold the price and re-shoe the thing... i couldn't have waited til April to take delivery, I had to sell the polo before the new polo got announced else my resale price would have been smashed.

However, If people want to start a mass movement at Nissan I'll be part of it to add weight to the cause.

Just thought of another positive... my wheels are far less likely to be stolen now =)... yes i'm still pissed off

Colesy 03-03-2010 12:00 AM

I bet most on here would even take a decent trade-in value for our 18's on the 19's as worst case scenario? I know I would.

370er 03-03-2010 01:58 AM

Nissan Australia should at least offer the 19s to 2009 customers at a discounted price, or have some type of trade-in deal on the wheels.

Not having 19s even as an option for 2009 was where all this B.S started.

3700cc 03-03-2010 03:09 AM

Just picked mine 2010 last 4 days ago :(

EVL370 03-03-2010 04:08 AM

I don't understand Nissans logic..

The 2010 370z comes with the 19inch wheel standard. However, the website and brochures (which arn't cheap to print) all show the 18inch wheels along side the convertible with it's 19's.

Sorry guys,

Its been done before.
2008 EVO X MR owners tryed it and MY08 WRX owners tryed it.
When you sign on the dotted line for your vehicle with that Vin. Thats it....

The only way you would get "good will" would be via your dealership NOT Nissan direct.

Just dont worry guys. Wait 6months.. Heaps of 19inch wheels will pop up on ebay.

CHZ 03-03-2010 04:29 AM

Hmm, my 2010 370z is due to arrived this month and comes with 18" wheels. I'm now seriously considering pay the $1300 cancelling fee and cancel my order, then reorder the 2010 with 19" wheels....

The same thing will happen for the MY2011 model - more power, restyled bonnet, with more aggressive lines, or something like that, and then the MY2010 owners will be pissed of for not waiting till 2011 etc.
Nissan has always updated their cars every 12-24 months so getting 19" is not at all surprising. If someone was seriously dupped by the car dealers telling them 19" will never come to Aust than they should check their heads - just look at the US market, nobody bought the car with the 18's and of course Nissan decided just to drop the ugly 18's completely.

The brochure people refer to still shows MY2009, so please don't refer to it, there are no MY2010 brochures out yet, just some silly bulletins.

again - you can get a car built in 2010, but Japanese financial year start on the 1 April, so anything sold prior to 1 April is considered MY2009.
MY2010 cars will be built from March, arrive in April.

I wouldn't stress over wheels too much buddy - 1300 is alot to cop as a loss, plus you should be aware that MY2010's will not go for cheap like the MY2009's are going for. You can pick up a brand new MY2009 for less than 62K these days, good luck getting a MY2010 for that much, or little.

Save the cancellation fee and the money from buying a cheaper MY09 model and just get a set of Volks. The car is made for Volks anyway.

Exactly - but do you know how much would that option be - probably 3K or more, so I'd rather spend my money on a proper set of rims, instead of these stock 19's from Nissan.

gumpy 03-03-2010 05:49 AM

are the 18's really that ugly? i personally think they look great =)

Only thing i don't like about them is the fact that it's hard to find a replacement tyre... 225/50r18's are a damn weird size...

but seriously guys, the nissan change is due to the the tariff drop... they didn't want to sell it cheaper so they're wacking on the 19's... it's MY2011 upgrade with direct injection that's gonna hurt...

I'd never say they are ugly. The funny thing is when people comment on my car they often say 'nice wheels'.

Will it get direct injection or is this just speculation? It would be nice but i'd want a USB connection before that :)

gumpy 03-03-2010 03:14 PM

With all the work going into the DI for the infiniti MY10 stuff, I'm almost 99% sure it'll turn up in the MY11 zed for us. That would be the 2 year mark which is when Nissan start majorly tweaking things...

evse82 03-03-2010 03:48 PM

Guys just something to keep in mind when talking about the tax drops for this year.....

The US spec with the hard drive, USB and the 19" rims drive away price it $39,990USD (granted they don't have the rear fog light - $150 lol) even the Porsche boss once said, Australians pay so much for cars because that's the price they are sold at..... (not because it is inflated by taxes etc) and unless people make a movement, get used to it.

Using the rims as a ploy to keep consumers happy is just that.... there is no justification for giving them at the same price to keep consumers happy (and early adopters mad) I try not to get angry and justify their move but unlike a bonnet buldge etc coming in the 2011 model (if it does) the 19" rims are a huge change in both looks and performance.... and this pisses me off lol

hmmm dunno about 11 it'd probably come out 12-13 if it does.. Still too soon to swap out the engine (well pretty much) plus there is too much confusion around the whole DI engineering - it's not happening much anymore but there were fears with VW (i think it was) with blockages etc

If you paid full RRP for your car. Do it!!

I bought my Z with the knowledge of the 2010 and the 19's coming. Hence why I paid 57k for a brand new car in stock. Even If I get the 2010 wheels for say 4k and sell my 18's for 2k. I'm still going to come up on top for a 2010spec car for under 60k

It comes down to price. The dealerships won't move much off RRP until the 2010 build plated cars fall into 2011.

I don't think we will see an 370z update of any kind until the Mazda RX9 is coming out. Try late 2011 or 2012.
