Default Doubledin HU w/t Touring Package?

Im going to be buying a Z touring trim without navigation soon and was checking to see if its possible to put a double din headunit on a touring version. It looks like the touring has a integrated headunit and looks like a double din could not fit. I do not to put it up top in the cubby because i like the space it provides. Has anyone tried putting one down below?

Thanks guys!

You wouldn't be able to put a HU in the top cubby regardless of trim package. There simply isn't enough space to work with without doing some major re-engineering.

Adding an aftermarket HU is possible in the bottom cubby and many here have done so, but you need to be aware that the touring package comes with Bose audio. A dash kit will be required and the Bose wiring can potentially make the install somewhat more involved. To get a better understanding of what you will need to do I recommend you visit this sticky:

Welcome to the forums and good luck with your purchase!

I just installed a double din in my 2011 with touring. I bought the wiring harness from the link Nillaz posted and instead of that metra dash kit from the link I went with the Scosche dash kit as it looks a little cleaner. See here: Scosche Dash Kit . Looks, fits, and works great.
