I can wait no longer! Woke up at 4am thinking about the install and decided 5am was a good time to start. It's supposed to be 92 plus here with a nasty humidity level, so this seems like a good idea anyway. I will pop in and out through the day with pics. Mounting the amp will be the last thing that get's done as I want it out until I get everything dialed in. Out to the garage!

Okay, dropped it in for a test fit which is perfect. I know many of you think that rear speakers are a waste, but I have to know for myself. I plan on tweaking them and seeing what it feels like. Since I just happend to have an extra pair of Facal PS165s I thought what the hell.
Since the Zenclosure has a ton of unused space on either side, I thought why not punch some holes in there and use it. This is NOT in the airspace for the single rear firing sub. More pics coming as I work through the install. I know there are a lot of you out there who would like to give rears a shot and this is a great way to try them, it cost you very little to try it and I had Mike throw in a bit of extra material in case I decided I didn't like it and just removed them. If that's the case I am going to put some type of door there, perhaps a hidden one, where I can stash stuff. :P Until the next ones... |
