I'm running the latest 3.1.3 software on my iPhone 3G and it works with an '09 Nav unit. While it is finicky, I have never been unable to listen to my tunes. Here are some of the things I'll try ... sometimes it works on the first attempt, other times it's the fifth. Let me know what you find:
- Unplug, plug back in (1, 2, 3, n times)
- Try unlocking it first
- Try playing music on it first then plugging it in
- Try restarting the iPhone
Again, sometimes it works on the first time no problem, other times I have to try a random combination of any of the above. But it will work. Once plugged in, it's flawless.
