Sorry dude,

there wasn't any pre-wiring to the base rear speaker location when I opened everything up.

:shakes head:

They are not pre wired for rear speakers you have to run new wire to the rears. Which I am against rear speakers to begin with. Also yes you can mount it to the box But keep in mind that those subs are going to make a lot of vibration/. I am not a fan of putting an amp that i spend 600 dollars on, and put it on top of a box that will rattle it literally apart. I am not saying it will happen in like a year but maybe in a year and a half it can rattle some pieces right out of there place inside the amp. Warranties do not cover that.

Out of curiosity, may I ask whyyyyyyy you're not a fan of rear speakers? IMHO it sounds weird having audio come only from the front of the car. I would imagine that "surround" sound would be more "natural".

i went with a set of hertz speakers in the doors, tweeters in dash and two hertz 10" subs in a z enclosures box. no rear speakers not worth it. hid the amps under the seats. i think you will be ok with the w3 in that box but i had to adjust it because of the angle inside the box. had to make two rings and recarpet it. good luck with your install.

If you read my car audio 101 thread you would know why but I will explain it.
First off it is a small car and you have no rear passengers that is the main reason rear speakers were put in cars. Second if you think about it or ask any artist they record there music in stereo which is 2 channels a left and right not 4 channels front " front left front right and rear left and rear right" If they had done that than I would be. But the fact is that SQ setups are built for reproducing the most natural and lifelike sound possible. I am not saying that is what you are doing. But it would be a much better investment if you bought better front speakers and no rears. The rears can interfere with your sound from the front and cause a echoing effect. That is just a few of the many reasons I am not a fan of rear speakers.
