Yes, once you have it set up properly, your volume control will work as it should. Amp remote can come from any switched 12volt source, try your powered antenna lead. You will not need one for the LC2i, it has a signal sensing turn-on feature, so all you need is 12v from battery for it, which you could tap off your main power from battery to amp.
