Hey guys. 2010 Nismo with base radio. I'm switching out to a Pioneer HU, what is the white box/module that sits directly under the stock hu? It has to be

Hey guys. 2010 Nismo with base radio. I'm switching out to a Pioneer HU, what is the white box/module that sits directly under the stock hu? It has to be unplugged (big plug) and comes out with the stock radio. I'm just wondering if it was to be reinstalled with the new unit still. Thanks
