As for the HU and it's fitment, you don't need the harness. The side mount cage rails will mount straight up to the DDIN units. I have test fit 3

As for the HU and it's fitment, you don't need the harness. The side mount cage rails will mount straight up to the DDIN units. I have test fit 3 diff HU's just recently as in 4 days ago. I tested an Alpine DDIN unit, and Kenwood Excelon and just finally settled on the Pioneer AVIC instead. All 3 fit with no issues. And many installer shops will tell you it doens't fit flush blah blah blah. BS! I found that they all looked great.
