I know I had a little moment is all. So rather than being "That Guy" that just complains and talks crap, I made a solution and I'm having it stickied. Sorry for dick mode everyone.

The focal tweets are definately harsh to my ears. They got a little better when I dropped them a few db around 15k. They're still very sibilent though. The brand was so highly recommended that I thought I'd give them a shot. They definately aren't bad, but in the end I think maybe another brand would be equal or better for less money. The less expensive Rockford Fosgates in my '99 miata sound about as good, althought the acoustics are even worse in that car.

On a side note, I did do a search for the window problem before posting, but none of the resulting subject lines looked appropriate. On closer inspection, I now see that the problem has been mentioned before, although it was buried in an 8 page thread about something else. Sorry for not seeing it before. I am greatful that I got an answer though. I was stressing! The common problems thread is a good idea.

My bad bro, it was early and I just got a wild hair up my ass. No big deal. It actually made me start a thread and have it stickied so it will be easier if other problems arise.

And sometimes, they just want to gain some knowledge from your vast experience, so be flattered :icon17: It's true some people are just lazy and stupid, but I always feel bad for a nice guy, who realizes he has little knowledge on the subject and genuinely wants to learn from us, and he gets a "search engine dude" reply. Not to pick on rreign either, he was a big man about his initial response and apologized for it ....... plus 1 to you Sir!
