As far as the door dings go, Imagine walking into your local PD with a dash video of a guy/gal walking away from your car, and explaining to them that your camera turns on when your car is bumped so it must be the guy that dinged your car. Even IF you get the lic. plate as he/she drives off. Good luck proving it without footage of the door meeting your car.
My $.02 and that may be all its worth, but it is Mine. I'll put that coin in my gas tank and have some fun instead.

You wouldnt believe the shnizz that can happen when your in your car. seriously though but nothing in this world is fool proof or perfect in that matter. its something that can help you move about your day worrying about one less thing, whether it pays off or not.

In 25 years of driving, I've been hit 6 times; one was a hit and run. I've witnessed maybe 5 accidents (one just a few weeks ago) that could have benefited from footage. One went to court and depended on my testimony. I have witnessed a couple of altercations and nearly been in a couple. The camera might not be needed every day or every month, but I have had numerous uses for it. There is also just the plain-o fun of documenting the odd things that happen from time to time.

So, from a simple costs benefit assessment it is more than worth $35. Plus, it can be used as a backup camera or a front parking camera.

^^^^^ This is true the ITB-100HD has a video OUT which can hooked up to a screen.

Chuck33079 11-01-2013 09:31 AM

Do you have any installed pics in a Z, preferably hardwired in?

Minsu 11-01-2013 09:35 AM

I was gonna take some pics of it today, if it stops raining or stops gusting at 30pmh i will go out into the lot and install it, maybe even take a video as well.

Chuck33079 11-01-2013 09:36 AM

Ideally off to the side a little? I've got a radar detector mounted under the rearview, so that area is spoken for.

Minsu 11-01-2013 09:41 AM

its small enough to fit over, under or on both sides of your radar.

I don't think it will support your weight.

Happened so close to me. Shame really a shame.

Many of these cameras ship directly from China, and their instructions are not well reviewed before hitting the market. Here is one of those examples I found:

5.Start the car automatically recording, automatic shutdown while flameout

Minsu 11-01-2013 02:37 PM

Lol ours comes with full english manual and its a korean manufacturer and we make good stuff ;)

Minsu 11-01-2013 03:21 PM

ok so update time, i hooked it up to my car. ill post pics and videos from the camera itself soon

GrandZ45 11-01-2013 08:04 PM

I will be getting something

Door dings and cracked windshields are part of owning a car. I will be getting something like this though. Hit and run around here has become routine. My household has been victimized by this twice (once with injuries) and I witnessed another. I am getting pretty angry about it. I would like to have a grappling hook to latch on to any car that runs into me. Sort of like a whalers harpoon. The law seems to treat it lightly if there are not major injuries. I would like to see them pinned on a short chain in the middle of the interstate.

But a camera will have to do.

Minsu 11-02-2013 11:48 AM

Alright guys here is the video i promised with the ITB-100HD
Once we start moving this along Ill try to put up the ITB-500HD

ITB-100HD Installation and Information (the370z.com) - YouTube

I will also be making a video on the PC player and show you how to use the program it comes with and ect. ect.

Chuck33079 11-02-2013 12:10 PM

Very cool video. This might be my Xmas present to myself.

Also- put your license plate somewhere else (assuming that's your front plate in the first few seconds of video). It becomes a sharp flying piece of metal in event of an accident. Your passenger will thank you.

Good deal. A couple of my buddies are first responders, and they've seen more than one person cut badly by a flying license plate that was on the dash.

Minsu 11-04-2013 02:43 PM

Bump, does anyone need any questions answered?
Promised videos will be up as soon as we finish contracting with other parties.

BeemaaZ 11-05-2013 11:00 PM

Do you have any recording at night time or in the parking lot with minimum lighting?

Minsu 11-06-2013 12:43 AM

Ok so it seems like we are ready to go as of today.
Anyone wanna start a group buy? First ten members will get the group buy pricing mentioned i think on page one.
If you need any other information let me know.

Minsu 11-13-2013 11:44 AM

Bump

Drex 11-13-2013 01:45 PM

i'd be interested in a group buy, but i'd like to see some info and pricing on the ITB-500HD before I decide.

Minsu 11-14-2013 01:30 PM

Hey Drex the info for both units are on the first couple pages of the thread. Is there a specific question you wanted to ask on the unit? and the Retail Price on the ITB-500HD is 499.99 But for the group buy I can prob knock off 50 from that depending on the amount of people. 10 would do.

Minsu 11-17-2013 09:29 PM

Bump

Minsu 11-20-2013 10:08 AM

No Interest of yet? I think we just need one brave soul to start it and help me out here. Anyone Interested in starting this, first three helpers will get an even more discount. at $230.00, Let me know.

Minsu 11-25-2013 07:25 AM

couldnt log in for a while. Bump

RonRizz 11-25-2013 03:53 PM

Its only been a month.....Might as well bump it some more. Not sure this thread even belongs in this section.

Minsu 11-27-2013 12:10 PM

Well, I mean its a new product so im not expecting ridiculous numbers but not even one! Slightly confused as to why no one has jumped on this yet. I guess the whole NEW PRODUCT might be hitting a wrong nerve? Or maybe lack of information? Information is on the first couple pages...

H2O_Doc 11-27-2013 12:38 PM

I'm thinking it is probably a cost issue.

Minsu 12-02-2013 12:06 PM

Hmmmm so if I could get some input on why pricing would be an issue this would help me immensely, the price on these two products are pretty decent for what you get. As listed in the first couple posts im sure its more than just a price issue. The product is great, just let me know whats stopping you guys and ill try to tend to it as fast as possible.

Chuck33079 12-02-2013 12:12 PM

OhGizmo! Review: The DR500GW-HD Dashboard Camera | OhGizmo!

I can have this for the same price ($250ish) from another forum member who sells dashcams. How does your product differ?

I can't find a lot of user reviews for your product online. Do you have a site with some reviews you can link me to?

Minsu 12-02-2013 01:00 PM

So ive done some research and it seems that there was a comparison done between my

product and the DR400 HD. So the main thing between those two was the camera

quality. Now we all know just because something is 30 megapixels doesnt meant its

better than something that is 14 megapixels. Now it seems that Both products are very

high end in terms of being a premium product. Carid has our product up right now at

carid.com/itronics And due to this being fairly new here in the US market you probably

wouldnt be able to find much other than amazon and other online retailers. Again this is

korean product just like the DR500GW-HD. Build quality looks great on both product. Our

product is smaller and more compact in design making it easier to create a stealth box

for it in the future. We also have a non interrupted power cable as well for the product.

Both product seems to look good but again its form over function. It seems the dr500

has wifi but it seems like it became more of a con than a positive during the review.

Other than that our product has firmware updates and software updates. The software

seems to be very similar and honestly speaking so do the specs on the cameras. Being

that both of these are made in korea im sure some parts are similar. But again after

watching the footage from the DR500HD it seems to be not as crisp and clean as the

ITB-100hd. Ive been driving with mine for about a month now and let me tell you that

the camera quality is amazing. If you need more videos ill upload them once im home, the

upload rate at work is terribly slow.
