I have used Bazooka subs in Mustangs I have owned in the past and have grown to love them. Has anyone used the powered versions of them? I know they come in various power models with the same woofer size. I was thinking of the 250watt powered 8" Bazooka. Amazon has it for about $260 and figured it was a pretty good deal since it retails for $400. I would love to hear anyone opinion on this option. I suppose I would be patching into the rear speaker or the Bose Sub...
Thanks john

A bazooka tube is only used for BOOM that is it. I use to have one in my hatch than got tired of how the sound was muddy and not precise. So I upgraded to a sealed 10 inch sub which I loved. My recommendation is to stay away and to get something better. Also if this is for your z or even a replacement just stay away.

Any self amplified car subwoofer is compromise. You will get much better results with a raw sub, sealed enclosure, and a decent mono subwoofer amplifier. If cost is an issue, buy used or go on ebay.

Eh. Please don't do that to a Z and put a Bazooka tube in there. Heck, a Sony sub in a prefab box would be better than that. 260 for that kind of performance really isn't a great deal IMHO...
