You could buy the bose bracket for them to fit however your going to get much better quality bass with a 6.5 woofer instead of a 6x9

It is an overgeneralization based on the fact that 6x9's rarely fit in front doors and few manufacturers invest in high end models. There is no basis of fact that the shape dictates a 6.5 to be superior to a 6x9.

The 7" would not be an issue... the mounting depth may be where you get into some trouble......

Think about it, where a 6.5 inch woofer gets even excursion throughout the entire woofer, 6X9 has a tighter radius on the 6 inch parts rather than the 9 inch parts, therefor your loosing excursion, also your get more balanced frequency reproduction where it can become distorted with an odd shaped woofer.

Read about this in DIY as well as in car audio mag a few years ago. Same goes with home audio as well.
