I had this issue w/Waze the other day (stock, non-Bose HU using just an Aux cable). It was the first (and only) time it did it. I tried to replicate it and couldn't, but wonder if you open the music app first then Waze if it will bypass it?

I dunno, Waze shouldn't block/mute music like that.

I think it may be the fact that the stereo can't run 2 apps at the same time. I just got the HU though and I need to do some more playing around with it.

I tried that. I also tried the reverse. For some reason when waze displays on the HU- no music.
