What do I need to add an Amp to Base model?

I have decided to keep the stock head unit and I have already bought and installed new Pioneer Speakers. Now I want to install a amp. What does the back of the base head unit look like? Do I need any special adapters to hook it into the amp? Is a 2-channel amp all I need?(I don't plan on putting rear speakers). Do I need a Audio Processor? :wtf2:

Many amps today have speaker level inputs. This would mean you just cut the wires that go to the speakers and run them to the amp. Hook them up at the amp and run the amp output wires to your speakers. If the amp does not have speaker level inputs you would need one of these. to convert the speaker level to line level to plug in the amp's RCA input jacks.

Ok yeah, the Amp I am looking out does have Speaker level Inputs. Is a 2 channel amp enough if i don't plan to get rear speakers? Also I am curious about the audio processor or any kind of filters for the stock head unit.

Than your going to need something like the JL clean sweep or the MTX Q. I would recommend upgrading the head unit it is a lot easier than keeping the factory head unit. SO you will need what I said above a power wire kit preferably 4 gauge wire that runs from your battery to your new amp, and than another wire from the ground of the chase to the amp and a set of rca cables. Also a small wore known as a wake up line this tells the amp to turn on when the car comes on. You will need a wiring diagram of the speaker colors and all so you can literally cut them behind the dash to tap into them for the speakers or you can run new wire which is a PITA in those cars I do believe. If you need more help just let me know.
