oh and Hi, im new here but not new to the Z :tiphat:

You would need to add a spacer or two.

I could look and see what the shop did but I just had the w6 installed in the corner box. Wow this thing is awsome!! Not long ago I had a different car with two 12" subs and this crisper and sound much better! Highly recommend the w6!

Speaking of W6 .... I have a 10w7 I would want to use..... any chance of that fitting? haha

There is always a way... It is a matter of form over function.

Interested in the box, would a image dynamics idq 10" sub fit?

MadChemist 10-13-2013 04:34 PM

Any chance you have something in the works for a roadster? Fingers crossed. I had one of your boxes made for the 350z. Awesome box.

I recently bought a sub system from Wicked (kudos by the way... it SLAMS!) and I am a firm believer... out of sight, out of mind. Even with tinted windows, I would still use the cover. The cover would be removed for showing, of course.

the cover also works well in keeping in place the plastic storage container i bought cheap at wal-mart that butts up against the back of the trunk (drivers end) and fits perfectly between the struts and takes up half the trunk space...perfect for putting one's groceries in and preventing them from rolling around...go tint, go cover, go peace 0' mind and much less annoying, shifting, groceries.

I looked at the pictures of the IDQ10 I don't see any reason it should not fit. So I would say yes it will work.

Roadster is something we are looking into... Being in New England it is hard to get them out in the winter... I would love to make one for the roadster... And at least see if our existing set ups would work or not.

So Wicked have u guys come up with a box for the passenger side yet? As it was posted before it will help for weight balance and also to access the tools n spare. A lot of people have been worried about having access to the spare. The question is : what's that going to be good for when the jack and the tools will still be pinched by the sub box since they seat underneath? Oh well if a new box have being build please let me know since I'll buy it yesterday. If not someone build it as it would be a blast.

If you can wait till July, currently overseas, ship one to me for a test fitting along with pictures and I can send it back or I'll buy it from you if it fits. Or if you wanted to do it sooner, I'll have the wife test fit and take pictures. Just let me know.

really? i would think the flat tire on the side of the road would be a bit more worrisome.

I solved this problem when I installed mine. Clear access to spare & tools were relocated to passenger side:

Just received mine today. How is everyone mounting the sub to box? What hardware? I thought it would come with the screws to mount the sub at least

I went to ACE Hardware and picked up some nice black Hex head screws. Look real nice.

Something like this:

Amazon.com: Alloy Steel Socket Cap Screw, Black Oxide Finish, Internal Hex Drive, Meets ASME B18.3/ASTM A574, 1/2" Length, Fully Threaded, #4-40 UNC Threads, Imported (Pack of 100): Industrial & Scientific
