Default Ipad installed in my dash: PROBLEM

I recently took out the original HU from my 09 Nismo to make room for an Ipad 2. With the Ipad I won't need a radio or CD player so the vacant area is being turned into a small storage compartment with a nice little door. Not having some sort of HU creates a few issues, but I'm not sure how to solve them.

1) The AC/heat controls will no longer function.

2) The passenger side door opens when it wants to and the lock/unlock button on the outside never works.

So I guess I'm looking for a bypass or something for the harness?? I've been looking for an aftermarket module, but nothing so far. Has anyone done this? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Interesting, because I did not think the AC controls were tied to the OEM head unit at all, sounds like some wires may be crossed or were damanged.

The radio in that car is not connected to any of those systems. Sounds like someone left the little white AC control module that is under the radio out of the car or partially unplugged. That module is connected to the CAN bus system in the car which controls the door locks as well .

I checked the wires for damage and found nothing. I have been the only one to disconnect or change anything. The dash piece was sent away so I'm the only one that has access to the car. I also disconnected and reconnected the wire in the back of the AC/heating controls. The orange light in the dial lights up, but the center yellow light in each dial does not come on and the fan does not work. I should have included this in my first post, sorry. Also, I've included pictures of the three connectors from the HU that are no longer used.

Your missing the white box that that large conector goes to.

For controlling the ipads volume I recommend using a ms8 and the AUX input it has and use the remote it omes with to control that volume.

It is a sound processor, that will let you run a aux input into it from anything including your ipad, than you can use its screen for EQ settings, fade and so on.

Yep. Went out to the garage and found the white box mounted under the radio. Man, do I feel like a moron. Thank you for the help, though.

You can also use a bit1 or bit10 By Audison.
Or use a JL Audio Cl-RLC for master volume and feed into an amp. No fading in this case where it may not be needed in the 370Z.
