I just figured it would bounce off the seats behind you and it wouldn't be that great of a position staging wise?

I might not know wth I am talking about though... it's possible.

The sounds is going to get really muffled being stuck behind the passenger/driver seat and the rear bar. A better placement might be on the other side of the rear bar before the rear strut well. Angled towards the center of the rear bumper.

The best thing for stage is to not put speakers in the rear at all...

Never had a problem with it. Helps the sound envelop you, it's nicer that way.
