Looking at the specs the box can clear a 7 inch deep sub and the sub is 6.5 inches so yes it should be ok.

how do you properly install a subwoofer to a box? Im going ot have a competent shop/buddy do most of the work, but i wanna cut costs when possible

The proper way to securing the sub to the box is to make pilot holes before using wood screws to secure it. This way you do not split the MDF material.

with a sub that heavy, and a box made with cheaper MDF you may want to use a T nut.
