A help, definitely, but not a necessity. Although I'm all for upgrading any stereo system, it will sound just fine without an amp if you chose not to use one.

A help, definitely, but not a necessity.
Although I'm all for upgrading any stereo system, it will sound just fine without an amp if you chose not to use one. Your best bet would be to install the speakers, and give it a listen, then decide.
