trying to find a mostly all touch screen double din head unit for my 2011 370z..ive come across some on crutchfeild.com but im not exactly sure what i should be looking for as far as performance goes..i want it for looks, mp3 output, dvd, and cd..will eventually get that magic box sub system for a 10 inch sub..so something capatable for that..all help would be appreciated..hoping for a price range of 400 to 950.00

DNX6980 I sent you a pm with pricing. after rebate you can't go wrong.

Also can look into the DNX7180.

I purchased my 9960 from wicked CAS! no problems, and fast shipping!

i run the older pioneer doubledin dvd players the 3100 and 4100 in my Z and G. both are compatible with rear view cameras. also if you're planning to wire up to a bose system you're going to need at least 4v on the pre-amp outs. there's only a chosen few that can power over 4v or higher. pioneers are typically 4v. :)

I think the one I have matches your criteria (JVC KW-AVX840)

i highly recommend the new alpine ina-w910 headunit. just had it installed myself. i plan to do a write-up eventually once i've played with it more, but here are my initial thoughts:

pro:
1. snappy. faster than the high end pioneers, and much faster than the high end kenwoods. the kenwoods are sluggish. the alpine's speed is huge for me.
2. (similar to 1) speed in navigating ipod/iphone playlists and songs. significantly faster.
3. ipod/iphone video extension was included.
4. hd radio built in.
5. sirius/xm add-on is free from crutchfield with the hu right now. i didn't install mine, but it was a nice free add.
6. price.. at 1199, it's cheaper than the high end kenwood 9980 and in the same range as the avic z130.
7. free traffic updates via nav (but see below).

con:
1. not sure about the video codec support. it plays videos off the iphone just fine, but i haven't tried out usb video yet.
2. the nav is not good. nav is the weakness of this headunit. it just looks ugly and clunky. not sure yet how it actually performs in terms of direction-giving, etc.
3. free traffic updates are ok, but i havent gotten it to show green/red on the map or show traffic in any other useful way. maybe i'm too used to the iphone's maps.

at the price, it's a pretty sweet unit, especially with the xm/sirius unit, harness, and metra kit, and free shipping, all thrown in by crutchfield.

Any of these double din radios now a days are very well built just buy from a good company like Kenwood,Alpine,JVC.:tiphat:

I would pass on something that cheap. If you want performance you want alpine sense they have the least delay of all the head units that I have messed with.

not bad

Main reasons why I choose to go with the 910 SO FAST. The nav from what I have seen is pretty good even though kenwood has garmin gps.

One nice thing about this unit is the detachable face. Question....are those little blue lights on that button always on? I'm getting this unit installed on Monday with HD and sirius.

I got my pioneer avh-3300bt for 348.00 shipped from pacificstereo (authorized dealer) price matched from ikesound (non-authorized dealer). they sent me a one time use $101 coupon code. the head unit is cd/mp3/dvd/blue tooth(with audio streaming from phone so you can stream pandora from your phone)/Ipod ready. It done have USB/SD card slot/3.5mm jack on the front. some don't like it but it don't bother me. I charge my phone on the usb and make for easy I pod connections. It does have rear camera with nav add ons a availible.

If you want no physical buttons look at the Pioneer 4300. get the dvd version and you can add on the blue tooth.
