I'm really confused why manufacturers keep making compatible devices only for the iPhone...and not any Android devices. I realize that there could be some connection issues across the board since

I'm really confused why manufacturers keep making compatible devices only for the iPhone...and not any Android devices. I realize that there could be some connection issues across the board since there are so many "flavors" of Android devices; but is it really that difficult to have a micro-USB and mini-HDMI connection to your device (or even DLNA)? There are now more Android devices than iPhones and that statistic will only continue to grow. So why is there no love for Android from companies when in comes to connectability to their products? You technically are reducing your possible market exposure, and a smaller footprint by going with Apple. Does anyone agree with me on this?
