Will this Sub fit?

I'm fairly new to buying these sort of things and especially reading "audio-tech" language so my question is will this Sub: Pioneer Stage 4 TS-W252PRS Reference Series 10" 4-ohm subwoofer

Based on the info from each site, the sub box has an 8" mounting depth and your sub needs 7" so you should be good.

Does Pioneer make a stage 4 in an 8" size?

I see from Pioneer spec sheet that this sub frequency range is potentially large. I'm in for the crossover settings.

For 8" subs you do not have a lot of options for a good, high powered sub. I did my research for 8" subs rated for more than 300w.

Sundown's SA-8 is an 8" and good for high SPL
Polk Audio MM840 is very good SQ for the money (I have 2 of these and highly recommend)
JL Audio makes an 8w7 which is very good for both SQ and SPL. They also make an 8w3. Both are a little pricy

Honestly if you're not looking for much bass, an 8" really isn't worth it, you could just get a 10" with the same amp and probably have better quality and deeper bass. Unless you're trying to fit it somewhere...

I second this. I have 1 Polk Momo 8" (the predecessor to the MM 80) in a ported box in my mazda and it hits plenty loud and deep. Even though it's 6+ years old it sounds like a modern day, high quality 10. Polks are a bit underrated by the marketplace.

On the Z I went big with two Boston Acoustics G5 10" powered by a Boston Acoustics GT-2300. It's pretty seriously overkill. Looks great though! One of these running about 300 watts would have been about perfect for everyday listening.

Or weight is an issue. My 10" Boston Acoustics weigh 35 lbs EACH! Two of those, the box and amps added about 125lbs total. Combine that with the sound deadening and I'm rolling around 200lbs heavier than I started.

I have a Zenclosures box with 2x 10" and the amp all bolted to the box in the back. Yeah it's like having a dead hooker in the trunk. But once you start adding mods, you balance out the weight reduction there anyways. So it's not that big of a deal. Plus, unless you're building a full on track car, 200lbs isn't going to matter.
