There is actually virtually no pressure on the dock connector. The spacing on the backplate is slightly smaller than that thickness of the phone, so the backing plate actually creates pressure against the back of the phone. This keeps it in place and sturdy. The phone is also slightly tilted away so that I dont punch my phone lol. Thanks!
