The mic is in the HomeLink mirror.
I get complaints about 50% of the time. If I'm talking on it, I tend to move my head up near the mirror a little bit. My dad is extremely hard of hearing and I don't bother using it with him. What others said, the Z isn't a quite car and is probably part of the problem. They should update the bluetooth system by using dual-microphones and incorporating a noise-cancelling system. If you go aftermarket, I would go with one that uses Parrot technology as it's bluetooth. I installed a Parrot kit in my brothers company car a few years ago for Xmas gift, and it works really well. |
