Are you driving a base, sport, or touring?

You could probably fab up an adapter plate (or buy one). I doubt it's nothing a little creativity couldn't fix.

I prefer the largest midbass drivers up forward, keeps the bass in front better with a rear mounted sub. But I'm sure it'll work; you'll need to tweak your crossover point for the best fit. Wait a min - are you running a sub? Probably should have asked that first.

Not sure why your trying to put 4 inch other than you have them. I would spend a bit of money and put 6.5 in there for better mid bass as said above no reason to waste space.

If you still want to than yes you can, you just will have to make custom spacers.

Unless you are doing a 3-way set i wouldn't bother with 4's upfront.

Would be better off doing a 6.5 in the stock location and fiberglass kick panel for the 4 inch if he is doing a 3 way.

Ya I am doing a 12inch sub in the back. The problem is I have the hex series set with the 4inch and the 6.5 inch, but was told I cant use the 6,5 cause it was an add on to the 4inch set? so i was just gonna use the 4inch since i already have it.

I get so confused about this stuff! So I have the 4inch with the tweeter set and crossovers and I have the 6.5 inch add ons.

If I buy a different 6.5 set what would you guys get? Nothing to crazy but quality.

My amps and sub are memphis and alpine head unit.a;pine not baught yet

You have a 3 way diamond set now then. Why not do the 6.5 in the door and the 4 in the dash and find somewhere for the tweeter?

Depending on the deck and amps you have you could do a active X-over set up and not use the X overs, then you wont have any problems, they then become just speakers. I'm use what started as a comp set, but pulled the X overs out and am using my deck for the X over.

I just noticed you don't have the deck yet, get an Alpine with 3 way X over capabilites, as long as you have 5 channles of amplification...

You can put the tweeters in the A pillars, but we're talking some custom work.

The Diamonds are nice (so are the Polks you mentioned, but if you've got the Diamonds, I'd use them instead!); since you've got the 6-1/2" midbass and the tweeter, check to see if those drivers are the same used in the set. If so, changing out the crossover will be all that's needed. Unless you VERY sure as to the parameters of the xover used in the 4-1/2" set (xover point, slopes, impedances, etc.), I'd call Diamond first. This way would save you the most $$$ and get you kick-*** sound in the end.

There's an even better idea in going active, but you'll need to upgrade add an active crossover. Those Diamonds would sing with separate amp channels drivin' em!

Thats the thing if he needs a deck he can get one with a built in 3 way active, i have a Alpine 9887 with one and it works great, but you'd have to get the new model, which i've heard is not as nice...

I was gonna get the new alpine 117 cause i can run my system active, therefore not needing the crossovers for the 6.5s and the 4,s.

I have a 4 channel Memphis amp so your saying run the 6.5 and the 4inch with that amp? Run the tweeters from the deck and cross all them with the deck?

its this amp:
16-MA3004 - Memphis 75 x 4 Class AB Full Range Marine Amplifier

And this amp for my subs:
16-MAD1000 - Memphis 1100 x 1 Class D Marine Subwoofer Amplifier

heres the 6.5 add ons:
S6.0MX3 - Diamond Audio 6" 3 Way Upgrade System

heres the 4inch set:
DIAMOND AUDIO HEX S400A NEW PRO 4" COMPONENT SPEAKERS on eBay!

So put the 4inch in the dash, 6.5 in the doors and find a spot for the tweets and don't use any of the crossovers, use the one with the 117 deck?
