Thanks to the Car Kit Company bypass kit, I can now use my Nav without the many restriction's imposed by Nissan.... With this kit, I have full, unrestricted use of the Nav system, full unrestricted use of my blue-tooth enabled cellphone. Another plus is my passenger can now watch DVD's while I am driving..as video while the vehicle is moving, is uncrippled. As I mentioned I would be a real unhappy owner without the Car Kit Company bypass kit. |
Tempting...

A big thanks to Brian for his excellent customer service! Rock on!!!

I just wanted to say I just added the backup camera kit from the Car Kit Company to my 2010 w/nav. It works great! The only (slightly) difficult part of the install was routing the cable to the trunk (I have a roadster). But even that was not really hard, just a bit time consuming. The install took me 3 hours.
Oh and the shipping was crazy fast! I ordered on Saturday and had it Monday! Thanks Brian! |

Hi guys,
I am wondering if the stock 2012 navigation can play iphone videos at all? If so does the Car Kit Company module allow it to play via motion? Thanks! |

I bought this bypass device from ebay and it works flawlessly. But you must start the car from OFF for it to work. If you start it from ON or ACC it will not work. I can watch youtube videos from my iphone via the pioneer cable.

The additional functions provided by the Car Kit package also trick the Nav unit into thinking the car isn't moving, therefore the functions normally blocked when the car is in motion are freed up. This is done in one nice and neat, harnessed package and I for one think it is a good deal. Note: The Pioneer HU in my truck uses a simple relay for unlocked DVD functions as well. |
I'm really tempted to buy this, anyone have troubles installing or any issues after install for a 2012 370z??

We have many happy customers on this forum as well as other Nissan/Infiniti owners but I will let them speak for themselves, but if you have any specific questions please don't hesitate to contact me. |

First I would like to Thank bdl99(Brian, I guess) for creating this thread.
I tried the DIY solution following the diagram provided by Brian: https://docs.google.com/document/pub...dJDtKoKnP54Qfs I'm using a SPDT slider switch, when the switch is on one-end position, everything works like normal(watching movie with e-brake on, GPS acts normal), however, when the switch is on the other position, the GPS gets no signal as expected, but it wont play video on screen, the reason is the system doesnt get e-brake signal. I followed the wiring diagram as shown here(with DVD and Nav override): https://docs.google.com/document/pub...dJDtKoKnP54Qfs My question is: where should the PIN65 grounding wire connect to? Thanks in advance for any help! |
