The problem I see, reading into this, is the wiring harness changes. That can be 1200.00 just for a new harness. I guess you will truly never know until you tear into one.

I noticed the 2010 also has xm weather, is there a way to add that to 2009 as an upgrade? Already have the xm traffic,

No, you would have to change the radio to 2010 nav for xm weather.

What's the problem with the 09 IPOD interface? Mine works perfectly, although I did have to buy a voltage converter to get it to charge. But that was a $30 fix.

Lou,

Do you think you can check into this for us and get us a cost estimate so that we can accurately gauge if this is worth doing?

Thanks bud!

Yeah my 09 iPod interface is perfect also. All I needed was a Scosche adapter that brings the voltage from 12V down to 5V to charge the newer iPods and it's been smooth sailing since.

I've never had any discconect problems, but my friend in his 2010 G37 with the newer Navi system occasionally discconects from the iPod and he has to unplug and plug it back in to get it to work.

The interface is pretty much identical as someone stated before, just the screen resolution is higher and the ability to play DVDs while parked is a nice touch.
