I am still looking for people.

And yes I know some people have, although my favorite thing is using the two flat surfaces behind the seats and mold in a speaker enclosure for 6.5's. I am currently working on a set for one of my customers.

Do you have any pics of the 6.5's like this in the Z? Thanks.

You will find that there is very limited space to work with in the spare tire, Not to mention Base model comes with a different spare then the Sport models. We did hours and hours of R&D when we came up with our Wicked CAS Magic BOX and slim design was the way to do it and achieve good results... Yes you can get an 8" sub in there but why would you waste the time and money. Looking forward to the New JL Audio W3 Slim line of woofers to see if a new design can be achieved.

Good luck, I am certalnly interested in what you come up with.

The problem I see with raising the floor is that the molded plastics go over the floor and you can't really raise them. To do this you would have to create a trunk that went around the plastic at the upper level or at the very least you would have to shave down all the foam that sits under the plastics but then I'd imagine your spare tire would no longer be flush with the trunk floor. I'm sure it is doable but it isn't as easy as it sounds.

if it wasn't my z i would love to work with you on this but my z is all about speed and losing weight haha, i have done a couple different custom boxes for myself and other people, at least there is more room in the back of the z than i had in my 92 firebird (which i made a box for 2 10s and 2 12s along with xbox and 2 tvs. that was waaaayyyy before they made shallow subs too so you had to have a box that was 1 million sq ft lol
