Base model you can lay the carpet over the speaker, where the peaker is will bulge out just a little.

If you however use the foam piece provided and cust out for the speaker, you can use thefoam piece as spacerthen lay the carpet over and you will be fine.

Carpet will hinder some speakers and not others. usualy having a grille helps tremendously.

We do offer a carpet with a cut out.
