And NOOOOO no spade connectors unless I have too. :p

someone does not know how to use the crimp tool correctly? :icon17: jk jk.

our fuse box is literally just a giant space connector terminal.
spade connectors are good stuff if you know how to use it correctly.

now for the wiring harness for the HU, i solder everything since it's
convenient to do so outside the car. :p

LOL I will say that I do use spade connectors but when I use them I still solder and head shrink them. Call me crazy call it over kill but that is what I do.

Also guys do not make fun of someone for being different I personally like the neon underglow look.

Thanks, each person has their own taste. As I said I like that he is being different and unique. Here is a video of the remote working.

i think it should be limited to light up just when the doors open - cool curb light

bigaudiofanat 11-16-2009 04:47 PM

Well it will have fronts when he gets the led strips.

kenchan 11-16-2009 07:51 PM

Be kinda cool to do puddle lights. :)

But id put the LED on the door panel facing down and not under the car since its a biotch cleaning LED's each time after a drive over leaves and crap if it was down below the side sills. :D

Sigur 11-16-2009 09:18 PM

My mom's Tribeca has puddle lights from the factory. Kinda nice when you open the door parked in some dark place.

bigaudiofanat 11-17-2009 07:32 AM

Ya I think they could be done as well on the Z.

ljstella 11-17-2009 07:46 PM

Personally, not a big fan of the neons, but if that's what he wants, then that's fine with me. The red is a good choice with the black paint too.

NYBladeZ 11-20-2009 10:15 AM

Personally love the neons though it not for everyone, how much do they run for a quality kit? Any preferred brands? The only worry I can think of is having to routinely replace burnt out neons.

bigaudiofanat 11-20-2009 11:22 AM

That is why a lot of people go with the THIN led strips all though this install was not that case. street glow gold series are pretty nice.

NYBladeZ 11-20-2009 11:30 AM

Hey Big, any experience hooking up 2 way alarms on the new Z's or G's? I want the Viper 5002 but I don't want something that will interfere with the existing key fob.

bigaudiofanat 11-20-2009 11:42 AM

I am actually talking with another forum member about getting one put in. Will let you know what I find out. Do me a favor and send me a pm with your question to remind me. "very busy lol"
