Subwoofer cracks when there's too much bass?

I'm with RonRizz - sounds like the coil is over-traveling and hitting the frame. This can destroy the speaker very quickly. When the windows are down, there is less resistance

I'm with RonRizz - sounds like the coil is over-traveling and hitting the frame. This can destroy the speaker very quickly. When the windows are down, there is less resistance to cone movement which exacerbates the problem. Either cut some power to the sub or get a sub that can handle the power.
