If i remove the spare tire from the trunk, will i still be able to mount the subwoofer somehow or does it directly bolt to the spare. i see its

If i remove the spare tire from the trunk, will i still be able to mount the subwoofer somehow or does it directly bolt to the spare. i see its got a little twisty thing on top to tighten so wondering if itll just tighten it all the way down
