OEM DD dash bezel question

Have not found a straight answer looking through the threads on this. So, the question is: Will the OEM DD dash bezel fit the whole aftermarket HU through the opening OR does it just have a lot of space around the front aftermarket HU faceplate? Looking at this thread from the forum, http://www.the370z.com/audio-video/8...-dash-kit.html , looks like the radio was pushed through the opening using rear spacers - not just the faceplate (but still not entirely sure). I'm sure those that have already installed an aftermarket HU using the factory bezel could easily answer this question. thx

i run a 4500BT on mine using factory bezel. i took off the thin felt gasket completely, then used EZ felt (hard felt) to cut-out my own gasket to fill any gaps.

my install looks factory perfect.

Cool! Can you tell me if you can push the whole radio you installed through the opening? Am interested in doing this to space it out towards the driver a little - like what the guy in the mentioned link did. Thanks man.

i didn't try that so i dont know, but i think the bezel is larger than the headunit because i had to add a gasket to close up the gap.

OK, thx. Thought more people may have tried that - maybe not, I guess.

yah i didnt even know people were shifting their hu to the driver side.. i just centered mine and use the steering controls most of the time so i dont usually touch the hu unless im searching for an artist through tags or folders.
