I knew this junk we get from work would come in handy one day.

This cluster of a wiring harness is all soldered up. Now I just need to rip the radio out.

That's install and spot to put everything. The only problem is that when things get hot, things shut down. My bother's should system shuts off after about 4 hrs. He too has his amps stuffed in the spare tire area with lots of space to spare. It's very annoying to suddenly loose sound for an hr as things cool off before you can turn it back on again. His amps are a older Fosgate BD1000 and Audiobhan.

I'm never in my car for 4 hours, so I should be good.

But seriously, temp is something I'll have to keep an eye on. It is a class D amp, so it should run relatively cool. I guess the good thing about trying this spot first is if it doesn't work, nothing has been cut or built and I can just move on the plan B... whatever that might be.

Woot! I have the entire weekend for me and the Z. I'm going to shoot for getting the entire system complete.

Birdfan67 09-18-2015 04:48 PM

Jeesh , WTH ??? you been at this since June... my Z is almost due for another oil change ...will you be finished before its ready for it's next change ? Dude, pay someone.. I had a full install professionally done..including dynamat and custom sub inclosure modified and completed in 12.5 Hrs with 2-3 guys working on it...labor all told was about 450-500 bucks....they charge per component , if you buy the component from them it's cheaper to install...good job though !

If I'm not mistaken, this isn't BoneZ's first rodeo and he really loves doing this type of work, so he's not in a hurry. Plus, he's got the satisfaction of saying that he did it himself.
