I had to drop off my Z to MA Motorsports yesterday to get the CSC, clutch and flywheel replaced. Looks like I won't be making it to ZDayz this year after all...

I had to shelf this project for a month or so while I work on a couple of other high priority designs. I will be back at full speed on this this next month.

Nice job. Have you decided what material to use and what process you will use for the final finish to get good match?

Thanks very much! I have been looking into injection molding as a final finish, with an Alcantara leather wrapping to match the factory look. As well as a limited carbon fiber to see how well it may sell.

This is very interesting and I'm looking forward to see this finished.
I think I will be getting an actual Tesla as a daily driver considering they will be releasing their Model 3 in a few years at around 30'000 USD.

Just now saw this thread and it makes me happy. I was down for an order of the Brainiac before the whole thing died, now I see there's still hope. Keep up the good work man!

Thanks so much! It's great to see so many people excited about something like this! Subscribe to the thread and I'll do my best to keep it updated as it comes along.

On another note have had a few setbacks with my software developer and UI designer. Which made me realize that I have been going about this all in the wrong way. My problem is I haven't been able to get these people to be as passionate as me to make this Infotainment system a reality.

It made me realize that passionate people are focused people. If you are not passionate about what you do, and have little immediate gain things won't get done. Now I see that the most passionate people I can find for this project are right here on this forum!

So as I prepare for my move to Dallas in the next couple of months I want to put a CALL TO ACTION out here to all my Z enthusiasts who may be software developers or UI/UX designers. If you would be interested in making this a reality in your Z please PM me and we can discuss things in more detail! It would be great if you were in the DFW area so that we could sit down face to face once in a while, but not a requirement.

In the meantime, thank you all for your support and I look forward to hearing from you!

With not being an engineer, designer, tech, or programmer I feel so useless for all this... Haha either way I still look forward to your success with this project. I've been peeking into the thread every now and then and seen its progress from the beginning. This whole thing is really awesome and nothing makes me happier than to see and know that so many people have contributed and gotten together too achieve a goal. This is amazing and you guys are awesome keep up the good work peeps!
