Illegal I agree with but I wouldn't call it immoral. Steve Jobs has said numerous times that he doesnt agree with DRM. DRM is just a safety net put in place to protect the artist. When digitally downloaded music first exploded it was really a sensitive subject but the studio's and artist have eased up on there stance now.
Most of Apple's library can be downloaded DRM-Free now straight from Itunes.
You can download from Amazon DRM-Free and as soon as you download your track it will import directly in to itunes. They have a huge library.
You dont have to download from Itunes and you dont have to download music with DRM these days.
Movies and Videos can be downloaded from Amazon I believe with no DRM either.
