What is the best way to clean the inside of the back window? The part of the window that has the rear defroster? I can feel that it is surface

Rear window defogger/defroster cleaning
What is the best way to clean the inside of the back window?
The part of the window that has the rear defroster? I can feel that it is surface mount and am concerned I may damage it as I have already cleaned the glass with alcohol lens cleaner... Does care have to be taken when cleaning these??
