Hello, has everybody basically quit ester oil after the warranty? Does the 2009 have a dummy light for when to change the oil? I bought mine used and the guy

oil change light
Hello, has everybody basically quit ester oil after the warranty? Does the 2009 have a dummy light for when to change the oil? I bought mine used and the guy said to change it in 1k miles but said he did it every 3k miles. I would think every 5k for synthetic.
