I bought my Z in a state which does not require front license plate. In Missouri, a front one is required. I did not get one and two days ago,

I bought my Z in a state which does not require front license plate. In Missouri, a front one is required. I did not get one and two days ago, I was stopped for speeding. The cop elected to be kind, gave me a warning for the speeding but gave me a $93 ticket for not having a license plate up front. Local Autozone sells license holders but they require holes to be put on. The local Nissan dealer says he could order me one, the price is $70+. Any suggestions?
