Anyone else forget sport mode was turned off and downshift fast?

I finished up installing my Takeda intakes today and was geeked to get it on the road. I let it warm up and idle for about 20 minutes, no codes, sounds great, lets hit the road!

After a couple of light pulls and being happy I went to turn into the gas station and down shifted from 3rd to 2nd and damn near got thrown out the front window

I forgot after unhooking the battery that Sport mode wasn't turned on by default. I have had it turned on since day 1. I felt like such an idiot and I'm so glad I live out in the boonies so no one saw it happen.

You talking about synchro? Happened to me a couple times from having it off on the way home and thinking that it was on the next morning

Hmm, I've had it turned off since I got the car so never really had this issue. I didn't know it was off by default when you pull the battery. Interesting.
