What is the purpose of the window opening a crack when the door is open and closing when the door is closed? I tried searching before making this topic but

What is the purpose of the window opening a crack when the door is open and closing when the door is closed?

I tried searching before making this topic but only came up with how to reset the window.

Actually I believe that it has to do with air pressure when closing the door. Having it open a little bit allows for there to be equal pressure when the door closes.

Frameless windows can be damaged when shutting the door (from air pressure as mentioned). They drop to release the pressure.

If you don't like it doing it, you can turn the screw in the door jamb to keep it up all the time. My tint installer showed me that trick.
