To shorten the clutch peddle so its a shorter distance to engage
the gear or motion too engaging the gear?
instead of traveling the stock distance?

I'd like to know too. I envy my girlfriends Miata. You just barely lift it off the floor and it engages. Screws me up every time I switch cars.

But... ANYWAY... I thought it was adjustable, but I'm not certain. It does seem to travel too long for my liking.

Engagement point will remain the same even with no spring... the spring just changes the force required (and in many ways the smoothness) to engage the clutch.

You will get used to it...I agree.

Oh, a friend pulled the Miata sticker off his and it said Tonka under it...I think you can adjust the clutch belt from the bottom driver's side.

you cant shorten the engagement point as far as I know, but you can shorten the travel.
