Question on financing

I'm new on car financing and have a question. I'm planing on ordering the 2012 Z and my dealership require a deposit. Since I've seen from other threads that it average around 1-2 months to receive the car. The question is that do I pay for the car when ordering or wait until the car arrives then pay for it? And if its the latter part, do i just order the car, then as the car gets closer to delivery, then start shopping around for car loan financing?

I'm kinda new at this since I usually buy my car in cash and never had to order a car that has 1-2 month car delivery window.

deposit now. Balance of cash ONLY after you've given the car a full inspection on delivery. once they have your money, you will NEVER get it back.

Mine's been on order since October. Delivery is Jan. 2nd. Haven't even thought about looking for financing yet since it's usually a monthly rate and we'll be into the next month when I need it. Oh-$1000 deposit.

Thanks man, it definately answers my question. I better start ordering car now lol.

banks and credit unions will sometime do the loan when you get seriel number and hold check till you release it. don't put $1000.down shoot for $100.00.you are not ordering anything they can't sell.
