i just bought a viper 350 defender alarm with radar motion sensor, but i'd really like to have remote start as well, but i have a 6 speed manual......is there any way i can do a remote start setup? any way to get around the clutch? plus, if you have the same alarm i just ordered, any comments or reviews would be nice, thanks guys

I'm not an installer, but my buddy is. He said that you can do a remote start on a 6 speed. The only thing is that you cannot leave it in gear when you turn off the car.

Yes you can do it on a manual. Just make sure the installer installes the neutral sensor wire to make sure the car will not start unless it is in neutral.

ok awesome, so if i get the viper remote start kit i'll be good to go as long as i tell them to make sure to install the neutral sensor wire, and i leave my car in neutral when i turn it off? which i already do

Yes, just make sure its tested fully, so you don't have an unfortunate accident like the Op in that linked thread.

I'm looking at the Viper 5701 for my car. Does any have any experience or knowledge of that system?

Yea, I was looking at the 5901. I don't need the remote start though. I think I'm going to go with the 5701 and a Digital Tilt Sensor.
