A/C clicking noise inside

2010 370 100K miles. With A/C on Auto loud clicking sound in the cabin. When you cancel the A/C clicking goes away. With fan on A/C off no clicking. Sound is coming from the dash area above the glove box and to the left. A/C does blow cold. Fan working normal.
