Default Leather Seat Repair

I have attached 2 pics my driver seat. The seat is worn and it looks like the dye has worn off both the seat and the back (near the driver door). Is this a DIY repair or is this something only a professional could repair? If anyone has made this repair can you provide some insight?

I realized that after I sent. Pics are too big. Trying to figure out how to reduce the size of the pics so I can send.

How did it rip?? Was it outside all the time? Did you ever condition the leather? Just curious, also there is a forum member here that fixed his airbag and restitched it on a base seat that was cloth. Google airbag replacement 370z, i don't have time at the moment.

Mine was not as bad as yours, but I did have to have mine fixed professionally. I found a seat repair specialist in Cleveland at a local car show and the rest is history. See the before and after pictures...

I don't think that this is a DIY as this is a skill to not only fix the leather, but actually matching the color. Good luck!

I dont think we have real leather seats so all they'll do is sand it down and repaint OR replace with actual leather

My seats are not ripped. It appears the faux leather has word down and the actual color (Black) is now exposed. What complicates things is the the seat color is light gray. I passed a shop that advertised leather seat repair and will get them to look at it.

Not sure what that means. Can you be more specific?

Yah, they sell the leather for ur vehicle and you just remove the old and replace with new.

Google auto leather upholstery. Takes patience but doable.
